Coffee with a difference
Hello and welcome to Kings Coffee House. Based in HTL Church, just off Regent Road, we are open Monday-Friday, 8am to 3pm and Saturday, 9:30am-3pm, for coffee, cakes, breakfast, lunch and tasty treats throughout the day. We’re a coffee shop with a difference – serving top quality coffees (from St Martins Coffee Roasters) and excellent food. All profits from our coffee house go to helping the compassion ministries at HTL Church, helping serve the local community through foodbanks, meals for the homeless, debt advice and more.
Community Fridge & Zero 'Waste' Meals
At Kings Coffee House, we’re excited to present our newest project, ‘Food For Change.’ Since Friday 17th November 2023, we have been intercepting surplus food that would otherwise be destined for landfill. Instead, it is redirected into our community fridge and transformed into delicious meals, offered on a Pay As You Feel basis, with a minimum donation of £1.
Join us every Friday and Saturday to enjoy our zero ‘waste’ meals, that not only taste great but also help to reduce food waste. Meals change every week and are advertised on our Instagram page. Breakfast is served from 10:00am – 11:30am, and lunch from 12:00 pm – 1:45 pm. Our community fridge is for everyone and is open within cafe hours.

At Kings Coffee House, our dedicated community of volunteers is at the heart of everything we do. From cooks and bakers to baristas, dishwashers, drivers, cleaners, and front-of-house staff, our volunteers come from all walks of life and help ensure our café runs smoothly every day. Good coffee
We’ve partnered with St Martins Coffee Roasters to provide you with some of the finest coffee available. We also offer a range of artisan teas and delicious hot chocolate.
Hearty breakfasts
We serve a range of breakfast, including bacon and sausage rolls, toast, and tea cakes. If you’re in a rush, you can grab and go.
Fresh lunches
Choose from our range of jacket potatoes, toasties, soup, and seasonal specials. Choose between eat in or takeaway.
Tasty treats
From our famous Biscoff rocky road to a classic brownie, treat yourself to something sweet to go with your drink. Vegan and gluten-free options available.
Room bookings
Do you need somewhere for your business meeting or community gathering? We have rooms and spaces of all sizes available to book. Do you just need a quiet work space? We offer 10% student discount and have power sockets and free WiFi throughout the cafe.
Special events
Every Tuesday morning from 10am-12pm we have Kings Kids – a parents/carers and 0-5s group open to all. Everyone who comes gets a discounted drink. Look out for other special events such as open mic nights and more.

Kings Coffee House offers a range of hot and cold drinks to suit every preference. Our menu is varied and includes, toasted tea cakes, toasties, cobs, jacket potatoes and a weekly soup.
